RichWaterWorld is a public-private consortium that offers innovative solutions for current and future regional tasks regarding flooding, water shortages and water quality. RichWaterWorld's integrated approach enables it to connect local and regional stakeholders and generate opportunities in terms of climate adaptation, energy and the biobased economy. The programme is investigating whether it is possible to combine water storage, retention and purification activities in one area, with the aim of taking advantage of the opportunities available to reuse water, raw materials and energy. By closing cycles for water, energy and materials, it is possible to create a region that is less dependent on its surroundings.

RichWaterWorld is a network within the golden triangle of public partners, knowledge institutes and companies. This concerted approach means it is possible to meet both public objectives, such as water security, and private objectives by developing commercial products that could be of interest to the national and international market.
